Terms of service.

By booking dog training or pet sitting services, the Client agrees to all terms listed in this Agreement. These terms ensure safety, clarity, and high-quality care for both the pet and service provider.

The Client confirms that:

  • All pets receiving services are up to date on vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella recommended).

  • Pets are free from contagious diseases, fleas, ticks, and parasites.

  • Any known medical or behavioral concerns must be disclosed prior to service.

If a pet becomes ill or aggressive without prior disclosure, services may be stopped immediately and no refund will be issued.

3. Behavior & Safety

The Client must disclose:

  • Any history of aggression

  • Resource guarding

  • Anxiety, reactivity, or bite incidents

  • Special triggers (noise, children, other dogs, etc.)

The Trainer/Sitter reserves the right to decline or discontinue services if a pet poses a safety risk.

The Trainer/Sitter is not responsible for injuries or damages caused by the Client’s pet due to undisclosed behavior issues.

4. Training Terms

Dog training results depend heavily on the Client’s consistency. The Client understands that:

  • No trainer can guarantee behavior outcomes.

  • Training requires practice outside of sessions.

  • Failure to follow instructions may affect progress.

  • Progress varies by dog, age, temperament, and environment.

The Client agrees to actively participate in training and follow the trainer’s guidance.

5. Pet Sitting Terms

During pet sitting or drop-in visits:

  • The Sitter will provide care as agreed (feeding, walks, medication, cleaning, etc.).

  • The Sitter will notify the Client of any concerns or emergencies.

  • The Sitter is authorized to seek veterinary care if needed.

  • The Client is responsible for all veterinary costs.

The Sitter is not liable for damage to the Client’s home if the pet causes destruction due to anxiety, illness, or behavior issues.

6. Payment & Fees

  • Payment is due before or at the time of service, unless otherwise discussed.

  • Returned payments or chargebacks may result in cancellation of future services.

  • Additional fees may apply for:

    • severe aggression

    • last-minute bookings

    • additional pets

    • holiday visits

    • extra cleaning needs

7. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Training Sessions:

  • Cancellations within 24 hours: no refund

  • Cancellations 24+ hours in advance: may reschedule

Pet Sitting:

  • Cancellations within 72 hours: 50% fee

  • Cancellations within 24 hours: no refund

No-shows result in total loss of the session fee.

8. Emergency & Liability Release

The Client authorizes the Trainer/Sitter to:

  • Seek veterinary care if the pet becomes injured or ill

  • Use the Client’s preferred veterinarian when possible

  • Use an emergency vet if needed

The Client agrees to reimburse all medical expenses.

The Trainer/Sitter is not responsible for:

  • Loss, injury, or death caused by natural causes, unforeseen accidents, or the pet escaping due to faulty equipment provided by the Client

  • Damage to property caused by the pet

  • Injuries resulting from the pet’s behavior

9. Equipment & Environment

The Client agrees to provide:

  • Safe, well-fitting equipment (harness, collar, leash)

  • An appropriate environment for training or sitting

  • Any medication, food, or supplies needed

If equipment is unsafe, training may be paused until corrected.

10. Photos & Media

The Client authorizes the Trainer/Sitter to take photos or videos of the pet for:

  • Progress documentation

  • Social media posts

  • Marketing materials

No personal client information will be shared.

The Client may opt out by notifying the Trainer/Sitter in writing.

11. Keys & Home Access (Pet Sitting Only)

The Client agrees to provide secure access to the home.

The Trainer/Sitter is not responsible for:

  • Faulty locks

  • Alarm malfunctions

  • Loss or damage to property unrelated to sitter negligence

Keys and garage codes will be returned at the end of the service period if required.
